ORDINANCE NO. 1775 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF AMERICANA BOULEVARD LYING EAST OF ORLANDO DRIVE (HIGHWAY 17 & 92) AND BETWEEN THE EASTERLY EXTENSION OF LAKE MARY BOULEVARD AND AIRPORT BOULEVARD; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the owners of that certain real property abutting that portion of Americana Boulevard lying East of Orlando Drive (Highway 17 & 92) and between the Easterly extension of Lake Mary Boulevard and Airport Boulevard, applied to the City of Sanford, Florida their application to have said property closed, vacated and abandoned; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on August 12, 1985, for consideration and determination as to whether or not the closing, vacating and abandoning of that certain portion should be allowed; and WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that the closing, vacating and abandoning of that certain property does not conflict with the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Sanford, Florida, and that the public health, economy, comfort, order, convenience, and welfare will be promoted by such closing, vacating and abandoning. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA: Section 1: That a portion of Americana Boulevard lying East of Orlando Drive (Highway 17 & 92) and between the Easterly extension of Lake Mary Boulevard and Airport Boulevard, more particularly described as follows: Commence at the Northwest corner of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 12, Township 20 South, Range 30 Lasts Seminole County, Florida, run thence 02°45'02" West along the West boundary of said Southwest 1/4,324.31 feet to the Point of Beginning, said Point being on a curve concaved Southwesterly, having a radius of 460.00 feet, a central angle 33°59'50"; thence Southeasterly along the arc of said curve, an arc distance of !~ ' 272.95 feet to the end of said curve; thence ~ ~_ South 57042'04" East 304,11 feet to the ~ ~ beginning of a curve concaved Northeasterly having a radius of 488.38 feet, a central angle Of 08029'45"; thence Southeasterly along the arc ~ of said curve, an arc distance of 72.42 feet; ~ ~-~ thence North 06° 52'12" West 96.47 feet to a point on a curve concared Northeasterly, having a radius of 408.38 feet, a central angle of 01o34'29"; thence Northwesterly along the arc of said curve, an arc distance of 11.22 feet; thence North 57°42'04" West, 304.11 feet to the beginning of a curve concaved Southwesterly having a radius of 540.00 feet, a central angle of 33°20'14"; thence Northwesterly along the arc of saidcurve, an arc distance of 314.20 feetto a point on said West boundary of said Southwest 1/4; thence South 02o45'02" West along said West boundary, 80.18 feet to the Point of Beginning; be and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned. SECTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or effect of any other section or part of this ordinance. SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked. SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
