1701 ORDINANCE NO. 1701
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AMENDING
SECTION 1-9 OF THE CITY CODE, AS PREVIOUSLY AMENDED BY
ORDINANCE NUMBER 1031, TO PROVIDE A $2.00 ASSESSMENT
AS COURT COSTS FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT EDUCATION AND
TRAINING; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND
EFFECTIVE DATE.
SECTION 1: That Section 1-9 of the Sanford City Code is here-
by deleted in its entirety, together with the provisions of Ordinance 1031.
SECTION 2: That Section 1-9 regarding additional court costs
for law enforcement education shall be amended to read as follows:
There is herewith assessed two dollars ($2.00) of additional
county court costs in all cases involving the violation of
city ordinances, except violations of ordinances relating to
the parking of vehicles, as authorized by sections 943.25 (5)
and (8)(a), Florida Statutes, said additional cost to be
allocated for law enforcement education as provided in sections
943.25 (5) and (8) (a), Florida Statutes.
SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section of this
ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not
be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force or effect of any other
section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordiances in
conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: That this ordinance shall become effective on the
llth day of June , A.D. 1984.
