ORDINANCE NO.1629
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF WEST 12TH
STREET LYING BETWEEN CEDAR AVENUE AND HOLLY
AVENUE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS,
AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, all of the owners of that certain real property abutting
a portion of West 12th Street lying between Cedar Avenue and Holly Avenue,
applied with the City of Sanford, Florida, their applications to have said
property vacated and abandoned; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on January 24, 1983, for
consideration and determination as to whether or not the vacating and
abandoning of that certain portion should be allowed; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that the vacating
and abandoning of that certain property does not conflict with the
Comprehensive Plan of the City of Sanford, Florida, and that the public
health, economy, comfort, order, convenience and welfare will be promoted
by such vacating and abandoning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE'OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: A portion of West 12th Street lying between Cedar
Avenue and Holly Avenue, more particularly described as follows:
That portion of West 12th Street lying between
Block 13, Tier 11, and Block 14, Tier 11, E. R.
Trafford's Map of the Town of Sanford, Plat Book
1, Pages 56 through 64, Public Records of
Seminole County, Florida,
be and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned,
SECTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of this
Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not
be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other
section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: All ordinances o~ parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith, be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption. i
