ORDINANCE NO. 1610
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
TO ANNEX WITHIN THE CORPORATE AREA OF THE
CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, UPON ADOPTION OF
SAID ORDINANCE, A PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY LYING EAST OF AND ABUTTING U. S.
HIGHWAY 17-92 AND BETWEEN AIRPORT BOULEVARD
AND AMERICANA BOULEVARD; SAID PROPERTY BE-
ING SITUATED IN SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION
PROVISIONS OF SECTION 171 044, FLORIDA
I STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CON-
FLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk
of the City of Sanford, Florida· petitions containing the
name of the property owner in the area described hereinafter
requesting annexation to the corporate area of the City of
Sanford Florida· and requesting to be included therein; and
WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Seminole County,
Florida, having certified that there is one property owner
in the area to be annexed, and that said property owner
has signed the Petition for annexation; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the property
described hereinafter is reasonably compact and contiguous
to the corporate area of the City of Sanford, Florida, and
it has further been determined that the annexation of said
property will not result in the creation of an enclave; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford, Florida, is in a
position to provide municipal services to the property
described herein and the City Commission of the City of
Sanford, Florida, deems it in the best interest of the
City to accept said petition and to annex said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF
THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the following described property
situated in Seminole County, Florida, be and the same is
hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of Sanford,
Florida, pursuant to the voluntary annexation provisions
of Section 171.044, Florida Statutes:
From the SE corner of the SW 1/4 of the
SE 1/4 of Section 11, Township 20 South,
Range 30 East, Seminole County, Florida,
run N 0052'04" E., along the East line of
said SW 1/4 of SE 1/4 a distance of 659.86
feet for a Point of Beginning, thence run
West parallel with the South line of said
SE 1/4 339.91 feet to the Easterly right-
of-way line of State Road 15 & 600, thence
run Northerly along said Right-of-way line
and a curve concave Westerly having a
radius of 5844.65 feet a central angle of
3o54'59'', an arc distance of 399.49 feet,
to a Point 293.84 feet S. 0o52'04'' W.,
of the North line of said SW 1/4 of SE 1/4
thence run S 89°57'i0'' E., parallel with
said North line, 191.33 feet, to the East
line of said SW 1/4 of SE 1/4, thence run
S 0°52'04" W., 368.34 feet to the Point of
Beginning.
SECTION 2: That upon this ordinance becoming ef-
fective the property owner and any resident on the property
described herein shall be entitled to all the rights and
priviledges and immunities as are from time to time granted
to residents and property owners of the City of Sanford,
Florida, and as are further provided in Chapter 171, Florida
Statutes, and shall further be subject to the responsibilities
or residence or ownership as may from time to time be deter-
mined by the governing authority of the City of Sanford,
Florida, and the provisions of said Chapter 171, Florida
Statutes.
SECTION 3: If any section or a portion of a section
of this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful, or uncon-
stituional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the
validity, force or effect of any section or part of this
ordinance.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 5: That this ordinance shall become ef-
fective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
