~ ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1097 OF SAID CITY, SAID
ORDINANCE BEING A ZONING PLAN; SAID AMENDMENT
CHANGING THE ZONING OF A PORTION OF THAT CER-
TAIN PROPERTY LYING NORTH OF AND ABUTTING WEST
FIRST STREET (SR 46) AND BETWEEN TERWILLIGER
LANE AND PERSIMMON AVENUE EXTENDED NORTHERLY
FROM RMOI (MULTIPLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL, OFFICE
AND INSTITUTIONAL) DISTRICT TO GC-2 (GENERAL
COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY,
CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 1097 of the City of
Sanford, Florida, passed and adopted December 11, 1972, said
ordinance being the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the
City of Sanford, Florida, regulating and restricting the location
and use of buildings, structures, land and water for trade,
industry, residence or other purposes, be and the same is here-
by amended as follows: That the real property described as
follows:
Commence at the North 1/4 Section Post of Section
26, Township 19 South, Range 30 East, Run south
89°45'00'' West along the north line of said Section
26, 51.60 feet to a point on the easterly right-of-
way line of Terwilliger Lane: thence run South
0°06'30" East, along said easterly right-of-way
line, 1,055.06 feet to the Point of Beginning;
thence continue South 0006'30" East along said
easterly right-of-way line, 352.91 feet to a
point on the northerly right-of-way line of State
Road 46; thence run along the northerly line of
State Road 46 as follows: North 89~41'56" East,
15.99 feet; South 0°18'04" East, 55.96 feet; North
88°16'56" East, 313.95 feet; thence leaving said
northerly right-of-way lines run North 0006'30"
West, 400.00 feet; thence run South 89°53'30''
West, 330.00 feet to the Point of Beginning;
be and the same is hereby rezoned from RMOI (Multiple-Family
Residential, Office and Institutional) District to GC-2 (General
Commercial) District.
SECTION 2: If any section or a portion of a section
of this Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitu-
tional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity,
force or effect of any section or part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
