1578 ORDINANCE NO. 1578
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
RESCINDING ORDINANCE NO. 1534, SAID ORDINANCE
ADOPTING A SALARY CLASSIFICATION PLAN
EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 1981, PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1534, passed and adopted
October 27, 1980, adopted and amended salary classifications
of positions of employees of the City of Sanford; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford,
Florida, deems it necessary to adjust the wages of its
employees,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE
CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 1534, of the City
of Sanford, Florida, be and the'same is hereby rescinded.
SECTION 2: That that certain Salary Classification
Plan dated October l, 1981, attached hereto and made a part
of this Ordinance as fully and completely as though the same
were set forth in this section, be and the same is hereby
adopted.
SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section
of this Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitu-
tional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity,
force or effect of any section or part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption, and the adjustment
of the wages of the employees of the City of Sanford, Florida,
shall be retroactive to October 1, 1981.
