ORDINANCE NO. 1562
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
TO ANNEX WITHIN THE CORPORATE AREA OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, UPON ADOPTION OF SAID
ORDINANCE, A PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY
LYING AT THE NORTH-EAST AND SOUTH-EAST CORNERS
OF THE INTERSECTION OF COUNTRY CLUB ROAD AND
AIRPORT BOULEVARD; SAID PROPERTY BEING SITU-
ATED IN SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA, IN ACCORD-
ANCE WITH THE VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION PROVISIONS
OF SECTION 171 044, FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVID-
ING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of
the City of Sanford, Florida, a petition containing the name of
the property owner in the area described hereinafter requesting
annexation to the corporate area of the City of Sanford, Florida,
and requesting to be included therein; and
WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Seminole County,
Florida, having certified that there is one property owner in
the area to be annexed, and that said property owner has signed
the petition for annexation; and
WHEP~AS, it has been determined that the property des-
cribed hereinafter is reasonably compact and contiguous to the
corporate area of the City of Sanford, Florida, and it has further
been determined that the annexation of said property will not
result in the creation of an encla~e; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford, Florida, is in a position
to provide municipal services to the property described herein,
and the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, deems
it in the best interest of the City t0 accept said petition and
to annex said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the following described property situ-
ated in Seminole County, Florida, be and the same is hereby annex-
ed to and made a part of the City of Sanford, Florida, pursuant
to the voluntary annexation provisions of Section 171.044, Florida
Statutes:
Section 35, Township 19 S, Range 30 East -
Begin 6 chains 50 links E and 9 chs 25 lks
North of SW corner of Section 35, Township
19 S, Range 30 E to a point of beginning,
run thence N 3 chs 25 lks, thence E 15 ft,
thence S 3 chs 25 lks, thence W to point of
beginning (less N 15 ft for rd r/w), and al-
so begin 61/2 chs E of SW corner of above
described section, run N 12 1/2 chs, W 8
chs, S 12 1/2 chs, E 8 chs, to point of
beginning, subject to Country Club Road
r/w~ (LESS that portion lying West of
SR 425).
AND
Lot 9, 10 and 11, MAPLEWOOD, Plat Book 4,
Page 91, beg at apt 844.2 feet North, plus
132 ft E of SW cor, Section 35, Township 19
South, Range 30 Fast, run E 8 f~ N 185.5 ft
W 8 ft S to beginning.
The above described property is further
described as that property lying at the
north-east, south-east,
corners of the intersection of Country
Club road and Airport Boulevard; said
property being situated in Seminole County,
Florida.
SECTION 2: That upon this Ordinance becoming effective
the property owners and any resident on the property described
herein shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges and
immunities as are from time to time granted to residents and
property owners of the City of Sanford, Florida, and as are
further provided in Chapter 171, Florida Statutes, and shall
further be subject to the responsibilities of residence or
ownership as may from time to time be determined by the govern-
ing authority of the City of Sanford, Florida, and the provisions
of said Chapter 171, Florida Statutes.
SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section of
this Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional,
it shatl not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force
or effect of any section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 4: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: That this Ordinance shall become effective
immediately ~pon its passage and adoption.

Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, on the 28th day of
