1534 ORDINANCE NO. 1534
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
RESCINDING ORDINANCE NO. 621 AND ORDINANCE NO.
1484, SAID ORDINANCES ADOPTING A POSITION CLASSI-
FICATION PLAN AND A SALARY CLASSIFICATION PLAN FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR 1979-198Q, AND ADOPTING A SALARY
CLASSIFICATION PLAN EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 1980, PRO-
VIKING FOR SEVEP~BILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 621, passed and adopted October
14, 1957, and Ordinance No. 1484, passed and adopted Septem-
ber 10, 1979, adopted andamended jOb requirements and salary
classifications ofpositions of employees of the City of
Sanford;and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford,
Florida, deems it necessary to adjust the wages of its
employees,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTIONi: That Ordinance No. 621 and Ordinance No.
1484, of the City of Sanford, Florida, be and the same are
hereby rescinded.
SECTION 2: That that certain Salary Classification
Plan dated October 1, 1980, attached hereto and made a part
of this Ordinance as fully and completely as though the same
were set forth in this section, be and the same is hereby
adopted.
SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section of
this Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitu-
tional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the
validity, force or effect of any section or part of this
Ordinance.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances or partsof ordinances
in conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby repesled.
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption, and the adjustment
of the wages of the employees of the City of Sanford,
Florida shall be retroactive to October 1, 1980.
