1483 ORDINANCE NO. 1483 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, DETERMINING THAT $1,068,082.77 IS THE AMOUNT NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION IN THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR, 1979- 1980 FOR THE ORDINAP~Y PURPOSES FOR THE OPERATION OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AND FURTHER DETERMINING THAT THE ANNUAL TAX LEVY NECESSARY TO RAISE SAID ~OUNT SHALL BE 7.08 MILLS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR, 1979-1980, PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the amount determined necessary to be raised by taxation in the City of Sanford, Florida, for the year 1979-1980 for the ordinary purposes of the municipality is the sum of $1,068,082.77. SECTION 2: That the millage for the year 1979-1980 to be assessed upon each dollar of the assessed valuation of all the taxable property, except homesteads to the assessed value of $5,000.00 or less, and $10,000.00 or less in the event the provisions of Chapter 74-11, Laws of Florida, 1974, apply to homesteads within the corporate limits of the City of Sanford, Florida, is hereby fixed at 7.08 mills, to be allocated as follows: Department of General Government, 7.08 mills. SECTION 3: That there shall be and is hereby levied for the year 1979-1980 upon each dollar of the assessed valuation of all taxable property except homesteads to the assessed value of $5,000.00 or less, and $10,000.00 or less in the event the provisions of Chapter 74-11, Laws of Florida, 1974, apply to homesteads within the corporate limits of the City of Sanford, Florida, a tax of 7.08 mills for the purpose of realizing a sum sufficient to meet and defray the necessary and ordinary running and operating expenses of the City of Sanford, Florida, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1979 and ending September 30, 1980. SECTION 4: ,If any section or portion of a section of this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force or effect of any other section or part of this ordinance. SECTION 5: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 6: That this ordinance shall become effective on October 1, 1979.
