exceeding 3,000 total square feet in area of Group B-Business and
S-Storage occupancies, provided smoke detectors are located within each
tenant area.
SECTION 5: That Section 901.6 entitled "General" is
hereby amended to read as follows:
In all buildings constructed over forty-five (45) feet
from ground level, approved sprinkler equipment and smoke detection
devices meeting the requirements of the Standard Building Code shall be
installed on all floors.
SECTION 6: If any section or portion of a section of this
ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall
not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force or effect of
any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 7: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 8: This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
