AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
ANNEXING TO AND INCLUDING WITHIN THE CORPOP~TE
AREA AND LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA, UPON ADOPTION OF SAID ORDINANCE, A
PORTION AND AREA OF PROPERTY SITUATE AND BEING
IN SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA, DESCRIBED AS
FOLLOWS: THE WEST 1/2 OF BLOCK 80, LESS THE
SOUTH 75 FEET OF THE WEST 123.09 FEET, M. M.
SMITH'S SUBDIVISION, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT
THEREOF, AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 1, PAGE 55,
OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA;
SAID PROPERTY BEING SITUATED ON THE NORTHSIDE OF
JEWITTS LANE AND BETWEEN JERRY AVENUE AND AIRPORT
BOULEVARD; IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE VOLUNTARY
ANNEXATION PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 171.044, FLORIDA
STATUTES; DECLARING AVAILABILITY OF MUNICIPAL
SERVICES; REDEFINING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA, TO INCLUDE SAID LAND IN THE
MUNICIPAL LIMITS OF SAID CITY; AUTHORIZING THE
~MENDMENT OF THE CITY MAP TO INCLUDE THE SAID
LAND ANNEXED HEREIN; PROVIDING FOR THE RIGHTS
AND PRIVILEGES OF CITIZENSHIP IN THE CITY; SEVER-
ABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the
City of Sanford, Florida, a petition containing the name of the
property owner in the area hereinafter described requesting annexation
to the corporate area of the City of Sanford, Florida, and requesting
to be included therein; and
WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Seminole County, Florida,
has certified that there is one (1) property owner in the area to be
annexed and that said property owner has signed the petition for
annexation; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the property described
hereinafter is reasonably compact and contiguous to the corporate
area and municipal limits of the City of Sanford, Florida, and it
has been determined that the annexation of said property will not
result in the creation of an enclave; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford, Florida, is in a position
to provide municipal services to the property described herein, and
the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, deems it in the
best interest of the City to accept said petition and to annex said
property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the following described property, being
and situate in Seminole County, Florida, to-wit:
The West 1/2 of Block 80, Less the South 75 feet
of the West 123.09 feet, M. M. Smith's Subdivision,
according to the Plat thereof, as recorded in Plat
Book 1, page 55, of the Public Records of Seminole
County, Florida.
be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of
Sanford, Florida, pursuant to the voluntary annexation provisions of
Chapter 171.044, Florida Statutes, and other applicable laws.
SECTION 2: That the corporate limits of the City of
Sanford, Florida, be and it is herewith and hereby defined so as
to include said property herein described and annexed.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk is hereby authorized to
amend, alter, and supplement the Official City Map of the City of
Sanford, Florida, to include the annexation contained in Section 1
hereof.
SECTION 4: That upon this ordinance becoming effective,
the resident~ and property owner of the property described herein
shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges and immunities
as are from time to time granted to residents and property owners of
the City of Sanford, Florida, and as are further provided in Chapter
171, Florida Statutes.
SECTION 5: If any section or portion of a section of this
ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall
not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force or effect of
any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 6: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 7: This ordinance shall become effective immediately

upon its passage and adoption.
