1394 ORDINANCE NO. 1394
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
DETERMINING THE AMOUNT AND FIXING THE RATE
OF TAXATION AND MAKING THE ANNUAL TAX LEVY OF
THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR 1977-1978.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the amount determined necessary to be
raised by taxation in the City of Sanford, Florida, for the year 1977-1978 for
the ordinary purposes of the Municipality is the sum of $1o 027,467.00 o
SECTION 2. That the millage for the year 1977-1978 to be
assessed upon each dollar of the assessed valuation of all the taxable pro-
perty, except homesteads to the assessed value of $5,000.00 or less, and
$10, 000.00 or less ha the event the provisions of Chapter 74-11o Laws of
Flor[dao 1974, apply to homesteads within the corporate timits of the City
of Sanford, Florida, is hereby fixed at 6:99 mills, to be allocated as
follows: Department of General Government, 6.99 mills.
SECTION 3. That there shall be and is hereby levied for the
year 1977-1978 upon each dollar of the assessed valuation of all {axable pro-
perty except homesteads to the assessed value of $5, 000.00 or less, and
$10,000.00 or less in the event the provisions of Chapter 74-11o Laws of
Florida, 1974, apply to homesteads within the corporate ltrn[ts of the City of
Sanford, Florida, a tax of 6.99 mills for the purpose of realizing a sum
sufficient to meet and defray the necessary and ordinary running and operating
expenses of the City of Sanford, Florida° for the fiscal year beginning
October 1o 1977, and ending September 30, 1978.
SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall become effective on
October 1, 1977.
