ORDINANCE NO. 1385 A~' ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA~ TO ANNEX WITHIN T~ CORPORATE AREA OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, UPON ADOPTION OF SAID ORDINANCE A ~ORTION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY ABUTTING UPSALA ROAD AND LYING APPROXI~TELY 1,460 FEET NORTH OF PAOLA ROAD, IN ACCORDANCE ~TH THE VOLUNTARY AN~XATION PROVISIONS OF SECTION 171. 044, FLORIDA STATUTES (1976). WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Sanford, Florida, a petition containing the names of the property owners in the area described hereinafter requesting annexation to the corporate area of the City of Sanford, Florida, and requesting to be included therein; and WTgEREAS, the Property Appraiser Of Seminole County, Florida, having certified that there are four property owners in the area to be annexed, and that said property owners have signed the petition for annexation; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the property described hereinafter is reasonably compact and contiguous to the corporate area of the City of Sanford, Florida, and it has further been determined that the annexation of said property will not result in the creation of an endave; and WHEREAS, the City of Sanford, Florida, is in a position to provide municipal services to the property described herein, and the City Commission of the City of Sanford~ Florida, deems it in the best interest of the City to accept said petition and to annex said property. NOW° THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA: -SE~NOL, SECTION 1~ That tha~ certain property tn Seminole County, Florida, described as follows be ~d the same Es hereby annexed to and made a part of the Ct~y of Sanford, Florida, pursuant to the voluntary annexation provisions of Sectbn 171. 044, Florida Statutes (1976): The Eas~250. 0 feet of the North 1/6 of Lot 48, NEW UFSALA, according Plat Book 1, Page 67 of the Public Records of Seminole County, Florida, and Beg~n~g at ~he SE Corner of Lot 46, said New Upsala, run N.O.0 11' 46"W. along the East l~e of Lot 46 a distance of 20 feet, thence run N. 89° 55' 38" E., 128. 7 feet to the East L~e of Lot 48 extended North, thence run S. O° 11' 46" E., 19.82 feet to the NE Corner of Lot 48, thence run N. 89° 59' 48" W., 128. 70 fee~ to the Point of B e g ~n ~ng. SECTION 2. That upon this ordinance becom~g effective, the residents and proper~y owners ~ the property described here tn shall be entitled to all ~he rights and privileges and ~nmuntttes as are from time to time granted to res idents and proper~y owners of the C~ty of Sanford, Florida, and as are further provided tn Chapter 171, Florida Statutes (1976), and shall further be subjec~ to ~he respons ~bEltttes of residence or owner- ship as may from time to time be determined by the governing authority of the C~ty of Sanford, Florida, and the provisions of saEd Chapter 17~, Florida Sta~u~es (1976).
