RE: Amtak New Car Wash Enclosure
Dear Mr. Aagaard:
The construction plans for a New Car Wash Enclosure for Amtrak located between West 6th Street and
7th Street east of Persimmon Avenue were reviewed by the Plans Review Committee on July 11, 1995.
At that review the following comments and/or insufficiencies were noted (The following replaces
comments transmitted in letter dated July 12, 1995): ••
1. All driveways exiting onto any public or private street shall conform to MUTCD
standards for traffic control devices. Specifically, High Intensity Grade 30" Stop Signs
are required for all applicable locations on the entire Amtrak site.
2. Toilet dump locations to be removed - can not dump wastes due to high strength
without pre-treatment.
3. Abandon or remove underground tank adjacent to pump house.
4. Wastewater analysis will be performed after initial start-up to determine if pretreatment
is required due to soils, grease, etc. washed from cars.
A copy of the construction plans with the above comments attached have been routed to the Building
Department for permitting. If this office can be of further assistance please do not hesitate to call.
