1358 ORDINANCE NO. 1358
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
DETERMINING THE A1V~OUNT AND FIXING THE RATE
OF TAXATION AND MAKING THE ANNUAL TAX LEVY OF
THE CITY OF SANFORDo FLORIDA, FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR 1976-1977.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the amount deterrnined necessary lo be
raised by %axatfon in lhe City of Sanford, Florida, for the year 1976- 197~ for
the ordinary purposes of the Munfcipalky is the sum of $ 907,236.00
SECTION 2. That the millage for the year 1976-1977 ~o be
assessed upon each dollar of the assessed valuation of all the taxable property,
except homesteads to the assessed value of $5,000.00 or less, and $10, 000.00
or less in the event the provisions of Chapter 74-11, Laws of Florida, 1974,
apply to homesteads wfthfn the corporate lirn[ts of the City of Sanford, Florfda,
fs hereby fixed at 6.3 mills, to be allocated as follows: Department of General
Government, 6.3 mills.
SECTION 3. That there shall be and is hereby levied for the
year 1976-1977 upon each dollar of the assessed valuation of all taxable property,
except homesteads to the assessed value of $5,000.00 or less, and $10, 000.00 or
less in the event the provisions of Chapter 74-11, Laws of Florfda, 1974, apply
to homesteads wf~hfn the corporale lfrnits of the C[ty of Sanford, Florida, a tax
of 6.3 mills for the purpose of real[zing a sum sufffcfen~ to meet and defray
the necessary and ordinary running and operat[ng expenses of the City of
Sanford, Florida, for ~he fiscal year beginning October 1, 1976, and ending
September 30, 1977.
SECTIOi~ 4. That this ordinance shall become effective on
October 10 1976.
