STRETCHER BAR SHALL BE THREADED THROUGH THE FABRIC AND ANCHORED TO THE POST AT
15 INCH CENTERS BY POSITIVE MECHANICAL MEANS.
EACH GATE AMD TERMINAL POST SHALL BE BRACED BY A HORIZONTAL PIPE BRACE AND AN
ADJUSTABLE TRUSS EXTENDING TO AN ADJACENT LINE' POST. CORNER POSTS LOCATED WHERE
THE DEFLECTION ANGLE IS 10 DEGREES OR GREATER SHALL BE BRACED IN BOTH DIRECTIONS.
FABRIC SHALL BE STRETCHED TAUT AND ANCHORED SO THAT A PULL OF 150 POUNDS AT THE
MIDDLE OF A PANEL WILL NOT LIFT THE BOTTOM OF THE FABRIC MORE THAN 6INCHES.

• During the replacement phase, you must be keep travel distance from any point on the floor to no
greater than 100 ft. (LSC 17-2.6.2). Therefore, you can work on as many stairs at one time as the
travel distance access (100') allows.
• Should any travel exceed that distance, you might consider working with the management of the
motel in not leasing rooms beyond that distance.
