ORDINANCE NO. 1334
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
TO ANNEX WITHIN THE CORPORATE AREA OF THE CITY
~'~ OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, UPON ADOPTION OF SAID
.~ ORDINANCE A PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY
~ LYING WEST OF NEW UPSALA ROAD AND APPROXI1ViATELY
~:' 1320 FEET NORTH OF STATE ROAD 46 A, IN ACCORDANCE
~ '~ WITH THE VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION PROVISIONS OF
oO :~ ~ CHAPTER 171.044, LAWS OF FLORIDA, 1975.
WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City
of Sanford~ Florida, a petition containing the name of the property owner in the
area described hereinafter requesting annexation to the corporate area of the
City of Sanfordo Florida~ and requesting to be included therein; and
WHEKEAS~ ~he Property Appraiser of Seminole County, Florida,
having certified that there is one property owner in the area to be annexed and
that said property owner has signed the petition for annexation, and
WHEREAS~ it has been determined that the property described
hereinafter is contiguous to the corporate area of the City of Sanford, Florida,
and it has further been determined that the annexation of said property will not
result in the creation of an enclave, and
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford, Florida is in a position to provide
municipal services to the property described herein, and the City Commission of
the City of Sanford, Florida deems it in the best interes~ of the City to accept said
petition and ~o annex said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE
CITY OF SANFORDo FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That that certain property in Seminole County# Florida,
described as follows be and the same is hereby annexed ~o and made a part of the
City of Sanford, Florida~ pursuant to the voluntary armexation provisions of
Chapter 171. 044~ Laws of Flortda~ 1975:
The South 1/2 of Lot 51, NEW UPSALA SUBDIVISION,
according to the Plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book
Page 67, Public Records of Seminole County, Florida.
SECTION 2. That upon this ordinance becoming effective, the
residents and property owner in the property described herein shall be entitled
to all the rights and privileges and immunities as are from time to time granted
to residents and property owners of ~he City of Sanford, Florida, and as are
~urther provided in Chapter 171, Laws of Florida, 1975, and shall fu~her be
~'$ubject to ~he responsibilities of residence or ownership as may from time to
time be determined by ~he governing au~ority of the City of Sanford, Florida, and
the provisions of said Chapter 171, Laws of Florida, 1975.
SECTION 3. That ~his ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
