The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Work Sessions on Wednesday, December 8,
2004, at 4:00 P.M., in the City Commission Chambers, City Hall, 300 North Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida.

The City Commission discussed having the Waterfront Master Plan Steering Committee take the lead to gather
public information and other groups' information on how Fort Mellon Park should look, and having a Downtown Master Plan
Board. Mayor Lessard reported Steve Meyers Emailed him information for this meeting, read a letter from Stephanie Powers,
and read a letter from the Sanford Historic Society and Sanford Museum Advisory Board.
(1) Restoration of Fort Mellon Park/conceptual plan with fort: discussion/location. (Project Manager Chris Smith.)
Chris Smith reviewed conceptual plans and fort locations; items discussed included park components that appeal
to children, fort locations, utility lines in Fort Mellon Park, a FRDAP Grant, Founders Day, and a Master Plan for Fort Mellon
Park.
(2) Downtown Redevelopment Plan. (David Marks, President, Marketplace Advisors, Inc.)
[Commissioner Woodruff left the meeting and returned during this item.] [Commissioner Hipes left the meeting and returned
during this item.] [Mayor Lessard handed the gavel to Vice Mayor Dr. Williams and left the meeting and returned and retrieved
the gavel during this item.] Mr. Marks reviewed the Downtown Redevelopment Plan
(3) Purchase option of Robson property. (City Manager Al Grieshaber Jr.)
[Vice Mayor Dr. Williams left the meeting and returned during this item.] The Commission discussed this item.
