A~ ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD. FLO~DA,
ANNEXING TO AND INCLUDING WITHIN THE COBPOrTE
AREA OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLO~DA, THAT
PROPERTY ABUTTING U. S. HIGHWAY 17-92 AND BET~EN
AIRPORT BOULEVARD AND THE EASTERLY EXTE~NSI~ON OF
LAKE ~RY BOULEVARD IN ACCORDANCE ~TH THE
PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 73-620, LA~ OF FLORIDa,
1973, AND FURTHER IN ACCORDANCE ~TH T~ :PROVISIONS
OF CHAPTER 74-190~ LA~ OF FLORIDA, 1974.
~E~AS, ~here has been filed with the City Clerk of ~he City of
Sanford~ Florida, a petition containing the name of the prope~y owner in the
area described hereinaf~er requesting annexation to ~he corporate area of ~he
City of S~ford, Flo~da, and requesting to be included therein; ~d
~E~AS~ the Proper~y Appraiser of Seminole County, Florida,
having certified that there is one prope~y owner in the area to be annexed and
~hat said prope~y owner has signed the petition for annexation, and
~EREAS, the City Commission on the llth day of August
1975, adopted Ordinance No. 1304 , which said Ordinance declared the intention
of ~e City Commission to annex to and make a pa~ of the City of Sanford, Florida,
the real prope~y hereinafter described said Ordinance having been adopted in
accordance with the requirements of ChaSer 74-190, Laws of Florida, 1974, and
~EREAS~ the Clerk of the City of Sanford, Florida, has causedn
to be published the Ordinance declaring the intention to annex once a week for~
four consecutive weeks in the Evening Herald newspaper, and
WHEREAS, there have been no objections filed as to the proposed
annexation wi~in the thirty day period set fo~h in Chapter 74-190, Laws of
Florida, 1974, and
WHEREAS, the annexat[on petition is considered a voluntary
annexation and the City Commission is of the opLnion that the annexation of
the property described here in w~ll fulfill all of the requirements of Chapter
74-190, Laws of Florida, 1974, and the Cffy Commission of the City of
Sanford, Florida, deems it in the best interest of the C~ty to annex said
property.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE
CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That that certain area in Seminole County, Florida,
described as follows be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of
the City of Sanford, Florida, pursuant to the terms of Chapter 73-620, Laws of
Florida, 1973, and further pursuant to the terms and provisions of Chapter
74-190, Law~ of Florida, 1974:
Begin at a point on the Easterly fight-of-way of line SR-600
& 15 US 17-92 said point being 158' N and 25.01' East fr~n
section of sa~d easterly R/W line with the south 556.49'
section 11, township 20 'south, range 30 E, Seminole County,
then run north 25.~01°E along said easterly R/W l~ne 335.40'
then run N 89.59.12 E 405.11' to the west line of the SE
quarter of the SE quarter of said section 11, thence run
S 0. 52. 04 W along said west line of the SE quarter of the SE
quarter sectbn 11 335.40' to a point 143.20' N 0 52' 4" E
from the SW corner of the SE quarter of the SE quarter of
said sect[on 11, thence run West 556.49' to the point of
beginning.
SECTION 2. That upon this ordinance becoming effect~veo the
residents and property owner in the area herein described shall be entffled
to all the rights and privileges and immunities as are from t~ne to time
granted to residents and property owners of the City of Sanford, Florida, and
as are further provided in Chapter 73-620, Laws of Florida, 1973, and ~n
Chapter 74-190, LaWs of Flor[dao 1974, and shall further by subject to the
responsibilities of residence or ownership as may from time to time be
determined by the governing authority of the City of Sanford, Florida, and
the provisions of said Chapter 73-620, Laws of Florida~ 1973~ and Chapter
74-190o Laws of Florida, 1974.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
