ORDINANCE NO. 1302
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD0 FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 16 1/2 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, THE SA1VIE BEING KNOWN AS
THE MECHANICAL CODE, SAID AMENDMENT ADOPTING
THE 1975 REVISION OF THE 1973 EDITION OF THE STANDARD
MECHANICAL CODE AS PREPARED BY THE SOUTHERN
BUILDING CODE CONGRESS, SAID AMENDMENT FURTHER
AMENDING THE FEE SCHEDULE PROVIDED FOR IN THE
MECHANICAL CODE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION t. That Section 16 1/2 - 1 of Chapter 16 1/2 entitled
Mechanical Code of the Sanford City Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Seco 16 1/2 ~ 1 Adopted
The Standard Mechanical Code, 1975 revision to the 1973 Edition°
prepared by the Southern Building Code Congress, is hereby adopted by the
City in its entirety with the exception of Section 106 thereof, which said Section
is entitled Fees. One (1) copy of said Code shall be filed in the office of ~he
City Clerk as a matter of permanent record of the City~ and the matters and
contents therein are made a part of this chapter by reference as fully and
completely as if set forth herein, and said copy shall remain bn file in said
office available for public inspection.
SECTION 2. That the Sanford City Code is hereby amended by adding
a section to Chapter 16 1/2 entitled Mechanical Code to be numbered and entitled
as follows: Sec. 16 1/2 - 3 Fees, which said Section shall read as follows:
Sec. 16 1/2 - 3 Fees
No person, firm or corporation shall do~ or cause to be done, any
installations, alterations, repairs or replacement of equipment or systems
covered by the provisions of the Code without first paying to the City a fee in
accordance with the Fee Schedule as adopted by the City Commission.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
