1301 ORDINANCE NO. 1301 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 6 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, THE SAME BEING KNOWN AS THE BUILDING CODE, SAID AMENDENT ADOPTING THE 1975 REVISION TO THE 1973 EDITION° INCLUDING APPENDIX D, AS PilEPARED BY THE SOUTHERN BUILDING CODE CONGRESS; SAID A1ViENDMENT FURTHER AMENDING THE FEE SCHEDULE PROVIDED FOR IN THE BUILDING CODE OF THE CITY OF SANFORDo FLORIDA. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Section 6-1 of Chapter 6 entitled "Buildings" of the Sanford City Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 6-1. Adoption of Standard Building Code The Standard Building Coded 1975 revision to fJae 1973 Editions and Appendix D, prepared by the Southern Building Code Congress, is hereby adopted in its entirety by the City with the exception of Section 107.4 thereof, which said Section is entitled Fees. One (1) copy of same is filed in the office of the City Clerk as a matter of permanent record of the City, and the matters and contents therein are made a part of this section by reference as fully and completely as if set forth herein~ and such copy shall remain on file in said office available for public inspection. SECTION 2. ~hat Section 6-3 of Chapter 6 entitled ¢'BuildingsI~ of the Sanford City Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 6-3. Fees No person, firm or corporation shall do~ or cause to be done~ any construction° alteration, repair~ or demolition covered by the provisions of this code without first paying to the City a fee in accordance with the Fee SchedUle as adopted by the City Commission. SECTION 3. That the Sanford City Code is hereby amended by adding a Section to Chapter 6 entitled "Buildingsl' to be numbered and entitled as follows: Sec. 6-5. Certain Buildings to be Equiped with AUtomatic Sprinkler Equipment and SmOke Detection Devices. -1- In addition to the requirements of Chapter 9 of the Standard Building Code, all future buildings constructed in the City of Sanford shall have installed approved automatic sprinkler equipment and smoke detection devices meeting the requirements of the Standard Building Code on all floors above forty-five (45) feet from ground level. SECTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewiih be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 5.
