1257 ORDINANCE NO. 1257
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN]~DRD~ FLORIDA,
ADOPTING THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE OF 1975
AS PREPARED BY THE NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION
ASSOCIATION, AS AMENDED BY THE CENTRAL FLORIDA
ADIVSORY CODE COMMITTEE NOTICE D, AND A FURTHER
AMENDMENT AS TO ALUMINUM CONDUCTORS; AND PRO-
VIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF A FEE SCHEDULE BY THE
CITY COMMISSION.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Section 8-3 of the Sanford City Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"The National Electrical Code of 1975 as prepared by the
National Fire Protection Association, as ameded by Central
Florida Advisory COde Committee Notice D, and further
amended as follows:
'Aluminum conductors shall not be installed and
used in any residential, commercial, or other
structures hereafter altered, built, constructed,
erected, repaired or moved into the City of Sanford,
Florida, with the exception of No. 8 AV~G and larger
conductors for circuits which or[ghnate from a panel
and terminate at a single device, '
is hereby adopted as the electric code of the city, one (1) copy
of which code is on file in the office of the City Clerk as a matter
of permanent record of the City and the matters and contents
therein are made a part of this chapter by reference as fully and
completely as if set forth herein, and such copies shall remain
on file in said office available for public inspection."
SECTION 2. That Section 8-14 of the Sanford City Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"Before any permit is granted as required by Section 8-11 of
the Sanford City Code for the installation or alterat[on of
electrical wiring, devices or equipment, the master electrician
making application for such permit shall pay to the City a fee
for such permit in accordance with the fee schedule as adopted
by the City Commission".
SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
