1219 ORDINANCE NO. 1219
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING SECTION 8-5 AND DELETING SECTIONS
8-6 AND 8-17 OF ARTICLE I, CHAPTER 8 OF THE
SANFORD CITY CODE, AND DELETING ARTICLE II,
CHAPTER 8 FROM THE SANFORD CITY CODE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Section 8-5, Article I, Chapter 8
of the Sanford City Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
8-5 "Qualification of Electricians
No personsshall engage in the business or trade
of electrician in the Ci~t~y, unless he is quali-
fied to do so as evidenced by a current certi-
ficate issued by the Central Contractors Exam-
ining Board created by Section 6-31 of this
Code."
SECTION 2. That the following Sections of Article I,
Chapter 8 of the Sanford City Code are hereby deleted in their
entirety:
8-6 Master Electrician---Bond Required
8-17 Approved Materials, Devices and Appliances
SECTION 3. That Article II of Chapter 8 of the Sanford
City Code is hereby deleted in its entirety.
SECTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.

SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall become effec-
tive immediately upon its passage and adoption.
