AN ORDINANCE OF T~ CITY OF SANFORD, FLO~DA,
ANEXING TO AND INCLUDING ~THIN TE CORPO~TE
AEA OF TE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, THE
DESCRIBED EREIMAFTER IN ACCORDANCE WITH T~
PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 7~-820, LAWS OF FLORIDA,
197~.
~EAS, ~ere has been filed wi%h the City Clerk of the City
of Sanford, Florida, a petition containin~ the name of the property o~ner
in the area described hereinafter requestinE ~exation to the corporate
area of the City of Sanford, Florida, and requesiin~ to be included therein;
and
WHEEAS, the Tax Assessor of Seminole, County, Florida, havin~
certified that there is one property o~ner in the area to be a~exed and
~hat the said property owner h~s si~ned the petition for annexation, and
WEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida,
h~s deemed it in the besl interest of ~e City to accept said petition and to
annex said area;
NOW, TEEFOE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE
CITY OF SANFORD, FLO~DA:
SECTION 1. That that ce~ain area in Seminole Couniy, Florida,
described ~s follows be ~nd the s~e is hereby ~nexed to and made a part
of the City of Sanford, Florida~ pursuant to the terms of Chapter
Laws of Florida, 1973:
Lots 5 and 8, Block 10, A. B. Russell's Addition to
Fort Reed~ ~ccordinE to the Plat thereof recorded in
Plat Book 1, Pa~e 97, ~blic Records of Seminole
Couniy, Florida, ~d that portion of the Seaboard Coast
Line hilro~d ~iedo Branch r/w abuttin~ the easterly
line of Lots 5 and 8, Block 10, A. B. Russell's
Addition to Fort Reed.
SECTION 2. Thai upon this ordinance becoming effective,
the residents and property owner in the above described annexed area
shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges and im~lunities as are
from time to time granted to residents and property owners of the City
of Sanford. Florida. and as are further provided in Chapter 73-620,
Laws of Florida, 1973, and shall further be subject to the responsibilities
of residence or ownership as may be from time to time determined by
the governing authority of the City of Sanford, Florida, and the provisions
of said Chapter 73~620, Laws of Florida° 1973.
SECTION 3o That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
CERTIFICATE
I, H. N. Tamm, Jr., City Clerk of the City of Sanford,
Florida, do hereby certify that a true and correct copy of the
foregoing Ordinance No. 1193, PASSED and ADOPTED by the City
Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, on the 26th day of
November 1973, was POSTED at the front door of the City Hall in
the City of Sanford, Florida, on the 28th day of November, 1973.
