AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1097, SAID ORDINANCE
BEING OFFICiALLY DESIGNATED AS APPENDL'g A
OF TI-IE CODE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
1973, SAID AMENDMENT ADDING A PAi~AGRAPH TO
ARTICLE VII TO PROVIDE FOR REGULATION OF
OUTDOOR SALES AND DISPLAY OF ME RCHANDISE AND
PRODUCTS IN COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRiAL DISTRICTS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Article VII of Ordinance No. 1097 of the
City of Sanford, Florida, the same being officially designated as Appendix
A of the City of Sanford, Florida, 1973, be and the same is hereby amended
to add a paragraph as a general regulation provision, said paragraph to
read as follows:
ARTICLE VII
12. Outside Display of Merchandise and Products.
No outdoor sales or display of merchandise or
products will be permiteed in connection with any
permitted or conditional uses authorized in any commer-
cial or industrial district unless said merchandise or
products are situated at least fifty feet (50) from any
property line of the business property or any public
right of way upon which the merchandise or products are
situated, or unless the merchandise or products are
displayed in an enclosure which has received site plan
approval in accordance with the general regulations
pertaining to site plan approval.
This section shall not apply to the sale of
motor vehicles, trailers, mobile homes, boats and
other recreational rehicles of a similar nature.
The owner or operator of any business covered
by the provisions of this section desiring to have the
provisions of this section waived for the purpose of a
special sale of merchandise or products on a portion of
the property within fifty feet (50) of a property line or
public right of way shall make application to the City
Commission for a special sale permit which may be
granted in the discretion of the City Commission for a
period not to exceed 10 days.

SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith except as amended be and the same are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective on the
1st day of October , 1973.
