1168 ORDINANCE NO. 1168
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
ESTABLISHING THE ANNUAL SALARY OF COMMISSIONERS
AS PROVIDED FOR IN ARTICLE II, SECTION 2.02,
CHARTER OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA.
~VHEREASo Section 2.02 of Article II of the City Charter
of the City of Sanford, adopted on December 19,, 1972, provides
that the City Commission may deem the annual salary of commissioners
by Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, The City Commission of the City of Sanford,
Florida, deems it advisable in vie~v of the increased amount of time
which is necessary for the Commissioners to spend on the business of
the City of Sanford, that the present salaries should be increased in
the sum of $1200.00 per year.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE
CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the annual compensation of the City
Commissioners of the City of Sanford, Florida, shall be the sum of
$3,000.00 per year~ said sum to be payable in equal monthly installments
commending January 1, 1974.
SECTION 2. That in addition to the compensation as specified
in Section 1, the Mayor of the City of Sanford, Florida, shall receive
additional compensation in the sum of $600.00 per year, said compensation
to be payable in equal monthly installments commencing January 1, 1974.
SECTION 3. In addition to the compensation specified in
Section i and 2 above, each of the Corn/nissioners shall receive as
expenses, the sum of $150.00 per month and the mayor shall receive
as expenses the sum of $175.00 per month; that the expense money set

forth herein shall be payable in monthly installments commencing
on January 1, 1974.
SECTION 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the sanhe are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall become effective
January 1, 1974.
