ORDINANCE NO. 1149
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
ANNEXING TO AND INCLUDING WIT~N THE CORPORATE
AREA OF T~ CITY OF SA~ORD, FLORIDA, TE AREA
DESCRIBED HEREINAFTER IN ACCORDANCE ~TH TE
PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 57-1S15~ LA~ OF FLORIDA,
ACTS OF 1957.
WEREAS, there has been filed wi~ the City Clerk of the City of
S~ford, Florida, a petition containing the name of the property owner in the
area described hereinafter requesting a~exation to the corporate area of the
City of Sanford, Florida, ~d requesting to be included therein; and
~REAS, the T~ Assessor of Seminole County, Florida having
certified that there is one property owner in the area to be amexed and that
the said property owner has signed the petition for ~nexation, ~d
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, has
deemed it in ~e best interest of the City to accept said petition and to annex
said area;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF TE
CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That that certain area in Seminole Co~ty, Florida,
described as follows be and the same is hereby ~nexed to and made a part of
the City of Sanford, Florida, pursuant to the terms of Chapter 57-1815~ Laws
of Florida, Acts of 1957:
Begin at a point 200 feet West and 130 feet North of the
Southeast corner of Lot 94 of M. M. Smith's Subdivision
according to the plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book i,
Page 55, of the Public Records of Seminole County, Florida,
thence run South 130 feet to the South line of said Lot 94, thence
run East 200 feet to said Southeast corner of Lot 94, thence run c~ co
North along the East line of said Lot 94, 180 feet, thence run
West 165 feet, parallel with the South line of said Lot 94, thence -~
run Southwesterly to the Point of Beginning.
SECTION 2. That upon this ordinance becoming effective, the
resident and property owner in the above described annexed area shall be
entitled to all the rights and privileges ~d immunities as are from time to
time granted to residents and property owners of the City of Sa~ord, Florida,
and as are further provided in Chapter 57-1815, Laws of Florida, Acts of 1957,
and shall further be subject to the responsibilities of residence or ownership
as may be from time to time determined by the governing authority of the
City of Sanford, Florida, and the provisions of said Chapter 57-1815, Laws of
Florida, Acts of 1957.
SECTION 3. That this ordin~ce shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
