AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 1Q48 OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
WHICH SAID ORDINANCE ADOPTED AMENDMENTS TO THE SOUTHERN
STANDARD BUILDING CODE, 19~I REVISION TO 1969 EDITION,
PREPARED BY THE SOUTHERN BUILDING CODE CONGRESS, SAID
AMENDMENT PROVIDING FOR INSTALLATION OF SPRINKLER
SYSTEMS AND SMOKE DETECTION DEVICES IN ALL NEWLY CON-
STRUCTED BUILDINGS ABOVE FORTY-FIVE (45) FEET IN
HEIGHT FROM GROUND LEVEL.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That in addition to the requirements of Section
901.06 of Chapter IX of the Southern Standard Building Code, as
amended, the following shall be required of all future buildings
constructed in the City of Sanford, Florida:
Approved automatic sprinkler equipment and smoke detection
devices' meeting the requirements of the Southern Standard
Building Code shall be 'installed on all floors above forty-
five (45) fee~ from. ground leveI.
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
'SECTION3. That this ordinance shall become effective immedi-
ately upon its passage and adoption.
