ORDINANCE NO. 1115
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
ANNEXING TO AND INCLUDING WITHIN THE CORPORATE
AREA OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, THE AREA
DESCRIBED HEREINAFTER IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
PROVISIONS OF C~PTER 57-1815, LAWS OF FLORIDA,
ACTS OF 1957. c
~EREAS, there have been filed ~th the City Clerk of the City of
Sanford, Florida, petitions containing the names of the majority of ~e property
owners in the area described hereinafter requesting annexation to the corporate
area of the City of Sanford, Florida, ~d requesting to be included therein; and
~EREAS, ~e Tax Assessor of Seminole Co~ty, Florida having
certified that there are eight property owners in the ~ea to be a~exed and
that a majority of said property owners have signed the petitions for annexation,
and
WEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida has
deemed it in the best interest of the City to accept said petitions ~d to a~ex
said area;
NOW, TEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF TE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That ~at certain area in Seminole Co~ty, Florida,
described on Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof be and the s~e
is hereby a~exed to and made a part of the City of S~ford, Florida, pursuant
to ~e terms of Chapter 57-1815, Laws of Florida, Acts of 1957.
SECTION 2. That upon this ordin~ce becoming effective, the residents
and property owners in the above described ~nexed ~ea shall be entitled to all
the ~ig~ and privileges and immunities as are from time to time granted to
residents and property owners of the City of Sanfordo Florida, and as are
further provided in Chapter 57-1815, Laws of Florida, Acts of 19570 and ~ l:
shall further be subject to the responsibilities of residence or ownership
as may be from time to time determined by the governing authority of the
City of S~fo~d~ Flo~ida~ and ~he p~ovisions of said Chapte~ 57-1815~ Laws
of Florida, Ac~s of 1957.
SECTION 3. Tha~ ~his oPd~ance shall become effective
immediately upon i~s passage and adoption.
