ORDINANCE NO. 1263
AN O~INANCE OF TE CITY OF SANFO~, FLORIDA,
ANNEXING TO AND INCLUDING WITHIN THE CORPORATE
AEA OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, THAT
PROPERTY ABUTTING SANFORD AVENUE BETWEEN AIRPORT
BOULEVARD AND CORNWALL ROAD IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 73-620, LA~ OF FLO~DA,
1973.
WEREAS, ~ere has been filed with the City Clerk of the City
of Sanford, Florida, a petition containing the names of the property owners
in the area described hereinafter request~g annexation to the corporate area
of the City of Sanford, Florida, and requesting to be ~cluded therein; and
WEEAS, the Tax Assessor of Seminole County, Florida, having
ce~ified that there are four property owners in the area to be annexed and that
three of said property owners have signed the petition for annexation, and
WEEAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida,
has deemed it in the best interest of the City to accept said petition and to
annex said area;
NOW, TEEFOE, BE IT ENACTED BY TE PEOPLE OF THE
CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That that certain area in Seminole County, Florida,
described as follows be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part
of the City of Sanford, Florida, pursuant to the terms of Chapter 73-820,
Laws of Florida, 1973:
The South 1/2 of the NW 1/4 of Section 7, Township 20
South° Range 31 East, lying West of Mellonville Avenue,
Seminole County° Florida; LESS the North 629 feet
thereof;
and
The North 330.5 feet of the South 660 feet of the West 300
feet of the North 1/2 of the NW 1/4 of Section 7, Township
20 South, Range 31 East, Seminole County, Florida;
and
Lots 1 through 6, inclusive, (Less the West 75 feet of
Lots 1 and 2) Block 3, FLORA HEIGHTS, according to
the Plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 3, Page 19,
Public Records of Seminole County, Florida.
SECTION 2. That upon this ordinance becoming effective, the
residents and property owners in the above described annexed area shall be
entitled to all the rights and privileges and immunities as are from time to
time granted to residents and property owners of the City of Sanford, Florida,
and as are further provided in Chapter 73-620, Laws of Florida, 1973, and
shall further be subject to the responsibilities of residence or ownership as
may from time to time be determined by the governing authority of the City of
Sanford, Florida, and the provisions of said Chapter 73-620, Laws of Florida,
1973.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
