AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF
SOUTH PARK AVENUE LYING BETWEEN EAST 24TM
STREET AND 25TM STREET AND BETWEEN SOUTH
PALMETTO AVENUE AND SOUTH OAK AVENUE;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, an application has been filed with the City of Sanford to close, vacate
and abandon a portion of South Park Avenue lying between East 24~h Street and 2~
Street and between South Palmetto Avenue and South Oak Avenue; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on November 24, 2003, for consideration and
determination as to whether or not the closing, vacating and abandoning of that portion of
South Park Avenue lying between East 24~h Street and 25~ Street and between South
Palmetto Avenue and South Oak Avenue should be allowed; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that the closing, vacating and
abandoning of that certain property does not conflict with the Comprehensive Plan of the
City of Sanford, Florida, and that the public health, economy, comfort, order, convenience,
and welfare will be promoted by such closing, vacating and abandoning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the portion of South Park Avenue lying between East 24~ Street

A portion of Park Avenue as shown on the plat of Teague's Addition according
to the plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 4, Page 2, of the Public Records
of Seminole County, Florida, being more particularly described as follows:
Commence at the Southwest corner of Lot 18 of said plat, also being a point
on the East right-of-way line of said Park Avenue; thence South 89°47'52"
West, 4.00 feet along the North right-of-way line of State Road 46/also known
as 25th Street for the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence continue South
89°47'52" West 11.10 feet to a point of curvature of a curve, concave
northeasterly, having a radius of 35.00 feet, a central angle of 90°07'04" and
a chord of 49.55 feet, that beam North 45°08'36" West to the point of
tangency; thence North 00005'04" West 100.00 feet; thence North 25°04'07''
East 72.95 feet; thence North 89°57'52" East 14.64 feet to a point on a line
being 4.00 feet west of and parallel with aforesaid East right-of-way line;
thence South 00014'04'' West 201.00 feet, along said parallel line to the Point
of Beginning. Containing 7,943 square feet, more or less.

SECTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of this Ordinance proves to be
invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, fome or effect
of any other section or part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and
the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
