ORDINANCE NO. 3938
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING THAT CERTAIN
UNNAMED ALLEY LYING BETWEEN W. 18TH STREET
AND W. 19TH STREET AND BETWEEN PEAR AVENUE
AND MERTHIE DRIVE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY,
CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, an application has been filed with the City of Sanford to close, vacate
and abandon that certain unnamed alley lying between W. 18th Street and W. 19th Street
and between Pear Avenue and Merthie Drive; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on June 13, 2005 for consideration and
determination as to whether or not the closing, vacating and abandoning of that certain
unnamed alley lying between W. 18~ Street and W. 19~ Street and between Pear Avenue
and Merthie Drive should be allowed; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that the closing, vacating and
abandoning of that certain property does not conflict with the Comprehensive Plan of the
City of Sanford, Florida, and that the public health, economy, comfort, order, convenience,
and welfare will be promoted by such closing, vacating and abandoning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That certain unnamed alley lying between W. 18th Street and W.
19th Street and between Pear Avenue and Merthie Drive, more particularly described as
follows:

THAT PORTION OF THE UNNAMED ALLEY OF BLOCK 10, LYING EAST
OF LOTS 1-7 AND WEST OF LOTS 8-14, OF SAID BLOCK 10, PINE
LEVEL, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF, AS RECORDED IN PLAT
BOOK 6, PAGES 36-37 OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF SEMINOLE
COUNTY, FLORIDA
be and the same is hereby closed, vacated, and abandoned.
~ If any section or portion of a section of this Ordinance proves to be
invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or effect
of any other section or part of this Ordinance.
T~;_C_~_O_N~.' That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and
the same are hereby revoked.
CT_~ff._Q_T_I_O__N__~ That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
