ORDINANCE NO. 3814
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING UNNAMED
PLATTED RIGHTS-OF-WAYS AND A PORTION OF
SIXTEENTH STREET, ALL LYING BETWEEN THE
CENTRAL FLORIDA GREENEWAY AND TANGELO DRIVE
EXTENDED WESTERLY AND BETWEEN THE CENTRAL
FLORIDA GREENEWAY AND UPSALA ROAD; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABIMTY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, an application has been filed with the City of Sanford to close, vacate
and abandon unnamed platted rights-of-ways and a portion of 16TM Street, all lying
between the Central Florida Greeneway and Tangelo Drive extended westerly and
between the Central Florida Greeneway and Upsala Road; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on October 13, 2003, for consideration and
determination as to whether or not the closing, vacating and abandoning of the unnamed
platted rights-of-ways and a portion of 16TM Street, all lying between the Central Florida
Greeneway and Tangelo Drive extended westerly and between the Central Florida
Greeneway and Upsala Road should be allowed; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that the closing, vacating and
abandoning of that certain property does not conflict with the Comprehensive Plan of the
City of Sanford, Florida, and that the public health, economy, comfort, order, convenience,
and welfare will be promoted by such closing, vacating and abandoning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:

SECTION 1: That the unnamed platted rights-of-ways and a portion of 16TM Street,
all lying between the Central Flodda Greeneway and Tangelo Drive extended westerly and
between the Central Flodda Greeneway and Upsala Road, more particularly described as
follows:
That part of the unnamed platted right-of-way lying between the South % of
Block 25 and the South % of Block 40, M. M Smith's Subdivision, as recorded
in Plat Book 1, Page 55,
and:
That part of the unnamed platted right-of-way lying between the South % of
Block 9 and the South % of Block 24, M. M. Smith's Subdivision, as recorded in
Plat Book 1, page 55,
and:
That part of the unnamed platted right-of-way lying between Lots 48 and 49 and
that part lying between Lots 47 and 50, Block "B', M.M. Smith's Second
Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 1, Page 101,
and:
That part of the unnamed platted right-of-way lying between Lots 55 and 56,
Block "B", and that part lying between Lots 54 and 57 (except the South 25.00
feet for Vihlen Road), Block "B", MM Smith's Second Subdivision, as recorded
in Plat Book 1, Page 101,
and:
That part of 16th Street lying West of State Road 417 and East of the West
350.00 feet of Block 9, M.M. Smith's Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 1,
Page 55, and East of the West 350.00 feet of Lot 56, Block "B", M.M. Smith's

Records of Seminole County, Florida.
be and the same is hereby closed, vacated, and abandoned.
SECTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of this Ordinance proves to be
invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or effect
of any other section or part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3: That all Ordinances or pans of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and
the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
