ORDINANCE NO. 3815
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A FOURTEEN
FOOT WIDE EAST-WEST ALLEY LYING BETWEEN
FULTON STREET AND COMMERCIAL STREET AND
BETWEEN MAPLE AVENUE AND HOLLY AVENUE;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, an application has been filed with the City of Sanford to close, vacate
and abandon a 14 foot wide east-west alley lying between Fulton Street and Commercial
Street and between Maple Avenue and Holly Avenue; and
WHEREAS, a public headng was held on October 13, 2003, for consideration and
determination as to whether or not the closing, vacating and abandoning of that 14 foot
wide east-west alley lying between Fulton Street and Commercial Street and between
Maple Avenue and Holly Avenue should be allowed; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that the closing, vacating and
abandoning of that certain property does not conflict with the Comprehensive Plan of the
City of Sanford, Florida, and that the public health, economy, comfort, order, convenience,
and welfare will be promoted by such closing, vacating and abandoning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the 14 foot wide east-west alley lying between Fulton Street and
Commercial Street and between Maple Avenue and Holly Avenue in the City of Sanford,
more particularly described as follows:

That certain 14-foot wide east-west alley running through the center of Block 1,
Tier 10, E. R. Trafford's map of the Town of Sanford as recorded in Plat Book
1, Pages 56-64, Public Records of Seminole County, Florida
more particularly described as follows:
Commence at the southwest corner of Block 1, Tier 10, E. R. Trafford's Map of
the Town of Sanford as recorded in Plat Book 1, Pages 56-64 Public Records
of Seminole County, Florida; thence run North 00°00'00'' west 118 feet to the
Northwest corner of Lot 6, Block 1, Tier 10 of said E. R. Trafford's Map of the
Town of Sanford for a point of beginning (POB); thence run South 89059'45''
east 262.90 feet; thence North 00°00'00'' east 14.00 feet; thence run north
89059'45'' west 262.90 feet to the southwest corner of lot 5, Block 1, Tier 10 of
aforesaid E. R. Trafford's Map of the Town of Sanford; thence run south
00°00'00" east 14.00 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 3,540.60 square
feet more or less.
be and the same is hereby closed, vacated, and abandoned.
SECTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of this Ordinance proves to be
invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or effect
of any other section or part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and
the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
