WHEREAS, an application has been filed with the City of Sanford to close, vacate
and abandon that certain 14 foot wide east-west alley lying between W. 16r" Street and W.
17"' Street and between Main Street and Oleander Avenue; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on April 26, 2004, for consideration and
determination as to whether or not the
closing, vacating and abandoning of that certain
14
foot wide east-west alley lying between W. 16r" Street and W. 17~ Street and between
Main Street and Oleander Avenue should be allowed; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that the closing, vacating and
abandoning of that certain property does not conflict with the Comprehensive Plan of the
City of Sanford, Florida, and that the public health, economy, comfort, order, convenience,
and welfare will be promoted by such closing, vacating and abandoning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
~ That certain 14 foot wide east-west alley lying between W. 16"~ Street
and W. 17~ Street and Between Main Street and Oleander Avenue, more Particularly
described as follows:
BEGIN AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 1. PINE LEVEL
SUBDMSION, THEN GO EAST TO THE SOUTHEAS'I: CORNER OF
LOT 6, THENCE GO SOUTHWEST TO THE NORTHEAST CORNER
OF LOT 7, THENCE GO WEST TO THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF
LOT 11, THENCE GO NORTH TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING, AS
RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 6, PAGE 37, PUBLIC RECORDS OF
SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA
be and the same is hereby closed, vacated, and abandoned.
~ If any section or portion of a section of this Ordinance proves to be
invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or effect
of any other section or part of this Ordinance.
~ That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and
the same are hereby revoked.
~ That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
