AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
~ST-~ST ALL~ LYING BETWEEN ~ST 1ST STREET
AND ~ST 2ND STREET AND BETWEEN CHAPMAN
AVENUE AND PINE AVENUE; PROVIDING FOR
SEVE~BILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, an application has been filed with the City of Sanford to close, vacate
and abandon that certain east-west alley lying between East 1st Street and East 2nd
Street and between Chapman Avenue and Pine Avenue; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on August 9, 2004, for consideration and
determination as to whether or not the closing, vacating and abandoning of that east-west
alley lying between East 1st Street and East 2nd Street and between Chapman Avenue
and Pine Avenue should be allowed; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that the closing, vacating and
abandoning of that certain property does not conflict with the Comprehensive Plan of the
City of Sanford, Florida, and that the public health, economy, comfort, order, convenience,
and welfare will be promoted by such closing, vacating and abandoning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
~ That east-west alley lying between East 1st Street and East 2nd
Street and between Chapman Avenue and Pine Avenue, more particularly described as
follows:
That Certain east-west alley lying between lots I through 10 and lots
11 through 13, Block G, 1st Street Extension, Plat Book 3, Page 76
be and the same is hereby closed, vacated, and abandoned.
CT_$._E_~TJ_O_N_~ If any section or portion of a section of this Ordinance proves to be
invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or effect
of any other section or part of this Ordinance.
CT.~E__C_~_~_N_~ That ail Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and
the same are hereby revoked.
That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
