AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 971, SUCH ORDINANCE
ESTABLISHING RATES TO BE CHARGED FOR WATER
FURNISHED BY THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
SAID AMENDMENT REVISING SAID RATES FOR USERS
OUTSIDE THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 971 adopted on September 8, 1969
established charges and rates for the use of water furnished by the City
of Sanford, Florida, to users within and without the corporate limits of
the City of Sanford; and
WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of Florida has pre~erupted
rates for users outside municipal corporate limits necessitating a revision
of charges for such users;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE
CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 971 adopted on September 8, 1969
and effective October 1, 1969, establishing rates and charges for water
furnished by the City of Sanford to users within and without the corporate
limits of the City of Sanford, be and the same is hereby amended by
establishing the rates and charges for users outside such corporate limits
at twenty-five percent (25%) above the rates established for users within
such corporate limits.
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective December
l, 1970.
