ORDINANCE NO. 1052
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING SECTION 4-2, SUBSECTION (b) THEREOF,
THE CODE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, 1954,
AS AMENDED, SAID SUBSECTION PROVIDING FOR THE
HOURS OF SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES FOR HOTELS,
SAID AMENDMENT INCLUDING THEREIN RESTAURANTS
HAVING A SEATING CAPACITY OF MORE THAN TWO
HUNDRED PERSONS.
ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Section 4-2, subsection (b) thereof, The Code of
the City of Sanford, Florida, 1954, as amended, providing for the hours
and days of sale of alcoholic beverages for restaurants and hotels, be
and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(b) The provisions of paragraph (a) of this section shall
not apply to hotels having 100 or more rooms for accommodation
of guests and restaurants having accommodations for the serving
of 200 or more patrons at tables and while serving on premises
prepared food, and as to such hotels and restaurants, the sale
of intoxicating beverages, including wine and beer, between the
hours of 2:00 A.M. and 12:00 Noon of each Sunday, and between
the hours of 2:00 A.M. and 8:00 A.M. on all other days, is
prohibited; provided, however, that such sales during the per-
mitted hours of 12:00 Noon, Sunday, to 2:00 A.M. Monday, shall
be confined solely to consumption on the premises. Such hotels
having 50 or more rooms for accommodation of guests, as to such
hotels, the sale of intoxicating beverages, including wine and beer,
between the hours of 2:00 A.M. each Sunday and 8:00 A.M. on the
following Monday, and between the hours of 2:00 A.M. and 8:00
A.M. on all other days, is prohibited."
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
