ORDINANCE NO. 1068
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
ANNEXING TO AND INCLUDING WITHIN THE CORPORATE
AREA OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, THE AREAS
DESCRIBED HEREINAFTER, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 57-1815, LAWS OF FLORIDA,
ACTS OF 1957.
WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of
Sanford, Florida, petitions containing the names of the property owners in
the areas described hereinafter requesting annexation to the corporate area
of the City of Sanford, Florida, and requesting to be included therein; and
WHEREAS, said petitions were duly certified to the Tax Assessor
of Seminole County, Florida, pursuant to Chapter 57-1815, Laws of Florida,
Acts of 1957, and the certifications of the Tax Assessor of Seminole County,
Florida, as to the sufficiency of such petitions pursuant to the terms of said
Act received; and
WHEREAS, The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida,
has deemed it in the best interest of the City to accept said petitions and to
annex said areas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE
CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That those certain areas in Seminole County, Florida,
described as follows, to-wit:
Begin at the Southeast Corner of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4
of Section 11, Township 20 South, Range 30 East, run thence
North 154. 82 feet, thence run N. 72° 43' W. to the Easterly
right of way line of State Road No. 15 & 600, thence run
Southwesterly along said right of way line to a point West of
beginning, thence run East to beginning;
Begin 29 chains South of the Northeast Corner of Section 2,
Township 20 South, Range 30 East, run West 21.3 chains,
North 10.54 chains, East 9.5 chains, South 1.92 chains,

The West 1/2 South of the Sanford Grant Line and East of
railway (less West 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4) and
West 1/2 of South 1/2 of Government Lot 2, all in Section
10, Township 20 South, Range 30 East; the North 1/2 of
Government Lot 2 (less the East 660 feet and the West
5,65.2 feet)~ from the intersection of the East line of the
West 565.2 feet of Government Lot 2 with the Sanford
Grant Line as a point of beginning, run thence South 65°
East along said Grant Line 353.4 feet more or less to the
existing City limits of the City of Sanford, thence run North
90 feet, thence run North 65° West paralleling said Grant
Line 353.4 feet more or less to a point 90 feet North of the
point of beginning, thence run South to point of beginning, all
in Section 10, Township 20 South, Range 30 East;
be and the same are hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of Sanford,
Florida, pursuant to the terms of Chapter 57-1815, Laws of Florida, Acts of
1957.
SECTION 2. That upon this ordinance becoming effective, the
residents and property owners in the above described annexed areas shall
be entitled to all the rights and privileges and immunities as are from time
to time granted to residents and property owners of the City of Sanford, Florida,
and as are further provided in Chapter 57-1815, Laws of Florida, Acts of 1957
and shall further be subject to the responsibilities of residence or ownership
as may be from time to time determined by the governing authority of the
City of Sanford, Florida, and the provisions of said Chapter 57-1815, Laws
of Florida, Acts of 1957.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.

by the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, on

of the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, on the
25th day of April, 1972.
