AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 22A, THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA, 1954, AS AMENDED, SAID CHAPTER
PROVIDING FOR THE REQUIREMENTS OF SUBDIVISIONS,
SAID AMENDMENT ADDING A NEW SECTION THERETO
ENTITLED SECTION 22A-4. 1 REQUIRING INSTALLATION
OF UNDERGROUND WIRING FOR ELECTRICAL SERVICE
AND PROVIDING CONCRETE POLES FOR STREET LIGHT-
ING AND UNDERGROUND WIRING.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION i. That Chapter 22A, The Code of the City of Sanford,
Florida, 1954, as amended, be and the same is hereby amended by adding
thereto Section 22A~4. 1, as follows:
"Sec. 22A-4.1. Installation of Underground Electrical
Service and Street Lighting Required.
In addition to the foregoing, the owner shall be required to
provide underground wiring for electrical service to
structures and to provide adequate street lighting, as
approved by the City Engineer, using concrete poles and
underground service wiring. The estimated cost thereof
shall be included in the bond or escrow requirements as
provided in the preceding section."
SECTION 2. That all ordinances in conflict herewith shall be
repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
