273 AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE STORAGE OF CERTAIN FUELS AND OTHER C0~%~USTIBLE MATERIALS IN THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AND PROHIBITING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN FUELS AND COMBUSTIBLE f~TERIALS BY PIPE LINE OR CONDUIT FROM TANK CARS, STORAGE TANKS OR RESERVOIRS TO RETAIL PLACES OF BgSI~ESS, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA: Section 1. That gasoline, alcohol, mineral spirits, motor fuel or other combustible materials having a greater rate of hazard than 30% hazardous under UnderwritersT Labor- atories, Standard for Classification, shall not be stored in single tanks of greater capacity than 550 gallons nor more than four such tanks, or a total of 2200 gallons at each retail place of business, except such materials as may be kept in properly constructed tanks or reservoirs of larger capacity on premises wherein no business of sell- ing to the general public is operated, maintained or carried on. Section 2. That no person, firm or corporation shall erect, construct, maintain or operate a pipe line or conduit for the transmission of any of the fuels and com- bustible materials mentioned in Section I hereof, from any tank car, storage tank or reservoir in the City of San- ford, Florida, to any retail place of business in said City. Section 3. No person, firm or corporation shall load a tank truck direct from a tank car or fill any retail tank underground or otherwise by Pipe line or in any direct way from a tank car or storage tank.. Section 4. That no person, firm or corpora_ tion shall keep or maintain in the City of Sanford, Florida, any uncovered container for the disposal of refuse oil from gasoline or Other motors, and shall in no event keep, operate or maintain any container of refuse oil of greater capacity than 55 gallons, and not more than two Such 55 gallons capacity containers on any lot or place of business. Section 5. That any ordinances or parts ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. of Section 6. That any person, firm or corpora- tion violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not more than $200.00, or by imprisonment of not exceeding ninety days.
