AN ORDINANCE ~AKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PF~SON,
FIR~ OR CORPORATION TO SELL OR OFFER FOR SALE,
OR TO HAVE IN HIS OR HE~ POSSESSION, WITHIN THE
CITY OF SmNFORD, FLORIDA, ANY BEVERAGES DESCRIBED
IN ORDINANCE NO. 256, PASSED ON THE 28th DAY OF
JUNE, 1937, ON WHICH STATE A~krD FEDERAL OR STATE
OR FEDERAL REVENUE STAMPS ARb RLQUIRED, UNLESS
THE BOTTLE OR THE I~DIATE CONTAINER, IN WHIC~
SAID BEVERAGE IS CONTAINED, SHALL H~VE AFFIXED
TO IT THE REQUIRED STAMPS, AND TO PROVIDE A
PENALTY FOR T~ VIOLATION OF THE TER~S HEREOF.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. That it shall be unlawful for any person
to sell or offer for sale, or to have in his or her posses-
sion, within the City of Sanford, Florida, any beverages
described in Ordinance No. 256, passed on the 28th day of
June, 1937, on which State and Federal or State or Federal
Hevenue stamps are required, unless the bottle or other
immediate container, in which said beverage is contained,
shall have affixed to it the required stamps.
Section 2. That any person violating the provisions
of Section 1 hereof, shall, upon conviction, be punished by
a fine of not exceeding Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) or by
imprisonment for not exceeding ninety (90) days.
Section 3. That all Ordinances, or parts of Ordinances,
in conflict herewith, be and the s~me hereby are repealed.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall become effective
i~ediately upon its passage and adoption.
