Subject: Downtown Storm Sewer Interceptor Surveying Services
Dear Mr. Herman:
Hartman & Associates, Inc. (HA1) is pleased to submit this proposal to provide professional
surveying services for the above referenced project.
The scope of services for this project includes surveying 2rid Street from Oak Avenue to
Chapman Avenue and First Street fi'om Park Avenue to Palmetto Avenue, including additional
locations and verifications within the area. The complete scope of services is attached to this
proposal.
HAl will require assistance by the City to verify the horizontal and vertical locations of existing
water mains and vacuum sewer facilities. HAI's surveying services do not include verifying any
vertical locations of utilities under paved or concrete surfaces.
HAl proposes to provide the above services for a lump sum fee of $9,950.00.
HAl will provide three (3) signed and sealed copies plus electronic files (AutoCAD format) of
the survey data.
All surveying services shall be complete within six (6) weeks of receiving a notice to proceed.
If this proposal is acceptable to you, please remm one (1) signed original of this proposal for our
files. The signed proposal will serve as our notice to proceed.

The surveying serVices are to include the following items. Upon the completion of work, three
copies of all survey data (signed and sealed) plus electronic files of the survey data (AutoCAD
format) are to be provided. The surveyor shall coordinate with CPH prior to commencing work in
relation to the scale of drawings, the format of the data (text sizes and orientation) and the proposed
stationing.
2nd STREET FROM OAK AVENUE TO CHAPMAN AVENUE
Length = 2500 LF

a The surVey data will be taken by CPH and used in conjunction with existing aedal photos for
the purposes of preparing plan and profile drawings on aerial bases. Therefore, the
surVeyor will be expected to provide some horizontal control along the route in order to
properly orient the survey data with the aerial photos.
· Show approximate location of PJW, easement and property lines per plat maps, REDI atlas
· Show alleys on the south side of 2nd Street between Oak Avenue and Sanford Avenue
· Show all structures (buildings, signs, light posts, utility poles, manholes, junction boxes.
valve boxes, curb inlets, vau[ts, fire hydrants, mailboxes, etc.) within the RAN to a distance
of 10-ft outside thE; RRV (2nd Street) and to a distance of up to 30-ft (from the 2rid Street
edge of pavement', along the alleys on the south side.
· Show the location of all utilities including power, telephone, gas, television cable, water, and
sewer as applicable (2rid Street and alleys)
m Delineate limits of pavement, driveways, sidewalk and indicate type of surface (asphalt,
brick, concrete, unpaved)
· Establish project baseline and provide horizontal and vertical control (Begin baseline at west
side of Oak Street intersection and end at the east side of the Chapman Street intersection)
· Show all pavemen'~ markings (including parking stall striping)
