TO
AGREEMENT
DATED DECEMBER 7, 1983
FOR
CONSULTING ENGINEERING SERVICES
FOR
WASTEWATER TREATMENT
AND
EFFLUENT DISPOSAL FACILITIES
BETWEEN
THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA
AND
CONKLIN, PORTER & HOLMES-ENGINEERS, INC.
This Amendment dated this 2.~ day of ~ , in the
year Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five by and between the CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA (hereinafter called the OWNER) and CONKLIN,
PORTER & HOLMES-ENGINEERS, INC. (hereinafter called the
ENGINEER), is mutually agreed upon and declared an authorized
Amendment to an Agreement dated December 7, 1983, between the
parties, herein setting forth the scope, terms and conditions of
the work herein authorized.
A. GENERAL
The purpose of this Amendment is to authorize proceeding
with certain work relating to the December 7, 1983
Agreement, and generally consisting of assistance to the
City and analyzing needed water and sewer rate increases,
assistance with financial studies and analyses, and
preparation of an engineering report for the water and sewer
bond issue "official statement".
B. SERVICES HEREIN AUTHORIZED
The work authorized under this Amendment includes assistance
to the City in analyzing categories of utility system
customers, meetings and coordination with the City regarding
potential rate increases; meetings with bond counsel,
financial advisor, and bond purchasers {i.e., Hough &
Company) in order to assist in tailoring a financing program
to the needs of the City of Sanford; preparation of a
Summary Engineering Report identifying a historic summary,
descriptions of the City's wastewater and water systems,
projections of revenues and expenses, descriptions of the
improvement programs, and certifications as required by bond
resolution, other miscellaneous related studies,
investigations, coordination and liaison as requested by the
City.
C. PAYMENTS TO THE ENGINEER
For the scope of work described in Section B above, payment
to the ENGINEER by the OWNER shall be on the basis of cost
times a multiplier, in accordance with Section 5 titled
METHOD OF PAYMENT TO THE ENGINEER of the Agreement dated
December 7, 1983.
Due to the indeterminate amount of time to be spent in
meetings and various coordination and liaison efforts, it is
not possible to accurately estimate a maximum fee for this
work.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have caused this Amendment to be
executed as of the day and year hereinabove set forth.
