The election results arc as follows: 1. Approximate number of eligible voters 106 2. Void ballots 0 3. Votes cast for Petitioner 75 4. Votes cast against participating organization 14 5. Valid votes counted 89 6. Challenged ballots 2 7. Valid votes counted plus challenged ballots 91 8. Challenges are not sufficient to affect the results of the election The Commission VERIFIES the results ofthe election conducted July 12, 2001. Petitioner received a majority of the valid votes plus challenged votes. Pursuant to City of Sanford Ordinance No. 1535, Section 1.009(b), the Commission CERTIFIES the Petitioner as the exclusive bargaining representative for employees in the unit described above. Certification number3 is issued to the Petitioner. This order may be appealed to the appropriate district court of appeal. A notice of appeal must be received by the Commission and the district court of appeal within thirty (30) days from the ate of this order. Except in cases ofindigency, the court will require a filing fee and the Commission will require payment for preparing the record on appeal. Further explanation of the right to appeal is provided in City of Sanford Ordinance No. 1535, Section 1.018 and Florida Statutes Section 120.68, and the Florida Rules of Appellate Procedure. Alternatively, a motion for reconsideration may be filed. The motion must be received by the Commission within fifteen days from the date of this order. The motion shall state the particular points of fact or taw allegedly overlooked or misapprehended by the Commission, and shall not margue the merits of the order. For further explanation, refer to Rules of City of Sanford, Public Employees Relations Commission, Rule 15.05. It is so ordered.
