928-Aagaard/Goldsboro Facade SECTION 00520 AGREEMENT FORM PART 1 GENERAL 1.01 THIS AGREEMENT, made this 19th day of March , 2002 , by and between the City of Sanford, Florida, hereinafter called the Owner, and Aagaard General Contracting, Inc., doing business as a Flodda Corporation, and hereinafter called the Contractor. 1.02 The Owner and Contractor agree as follows: A. Contract Documents The Contract Documents consist of this Agreement and attachments, including drawings, work descdptions and matedal specifications; the Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction - latest non-metric edition, as incorporated by the Project Manual; all Addenda issued pdor to and all Change Orders issued after execution of this Agreement. These form the Contract and all are as fully a part of the Contract as if attached to this Agreement or repeated herein. B. Scope of Work The Contractor shall perform all work required by the Contract Documents for the construction of the Goldsbore Fac~ade Improvement Project, RFP 01-02-18 for the (3) three brick entrance signs. They are as follows: (1) 15'-10 3/4" brick sign to be located at 13th Street & Demolition of the existing signage. (2)(1) 8' brick sign to be located on Persimmon Avenue at the WestSide Community Center. (3)(1) 8' brick sign to be located at the comer of 16t~ Street and Southwest Road. Exact location of each sign to be staked by the City, also a letter of agreement from property ownere on record prior to construction. Work shall be in accordance wiffi attached plans. Contractor shall provide shop drawings for the lettering, obtain construction permit for the sign from the City, comply with applicable codes, and provide for pedestrian and traffic safety, and guarantee work for one year. C. Contract Time The Contractor shall begin work within 10 days after the issuance of a wdtten Notice to Proceed and shall complete substantially complete the work within 30 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The work shall be finally complete, ready for Final Payment in accordance with the General Conditions, within 30 calendar days from the actual date of substantial completion. D. Insurance Requirements Contractor shall show City of Sanford as additional insureds under the contractor's general liability insurance policy, which insurance protection shall be primary protection for the City, and shall hold the City harmless from claims and losses. E. Lump Sum Contract Pdce Unit Price Contract The Owner will pay the Contractor in current funds for the performance of the work, subject to additions and deductions by Change Order and subject to the percent of work complete; the Total Contract Pdce of Twenty one Thousand Four Hundred Fifteen Dollars and no/100 Dollars ($21,415.00). F. Payments The Owner will make payments at two week intervals based on percent of completion. G. Engineer The Project has been designed by CPH Engineers, Inc., referred to in the documents as the Engineer, whose authority dudng the progress of construction is defined in the General Conditions and Supplementary Conditions. 1.03 IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties herato have executed this Agreement the day and year first above wdtten.
